Each month Odeum calculates a financial settlement statement for our Publishers. One of the fee components of every Odeum Plan is a per-subscriber monthly fee. Depending on the plan you are on, this fee may vary. But the way it is calculated is consistent.

How We Calculate

At midnight (PST/PDT) we take a snapshot of the number of active subscribers to your Odeum Channel at exactly that time. This is the number we use to calculate your monthly per-subscriber fees. Active Free Trials are considered Active Subscribers.

We have built our "month-end snapshot" method of billing as a way to be as fair as possible in calculating our fees. Here are a few example scenarios to help explain how it works.

  • A Free Trial customer who starts a trial on November 7 and cancels at the end of the trial on November 14 would NOT be an active subscriber on the last day of November and therefore would not be counted in the fee calculation.

  • A subscriber who subscribes for 1 month, which spans from Jan 15 to Feb 15, would only be an active subscriber for the report at the end of January, so would incur one monthly charge.

  • A Free Trial customer who starts a trial on November 28 and cancels at the end of the trial on Dec 5 WOULD be an active subscriber on the last day of November and would be counted. If you have a 7-day free trial, you can expect that roughly 25% of your free trials would result in per-suscriber fees.
