Why Configure your Email?
When a "sender email address" is configured through the Email Configuration page in your Odeum Dashboard, you enable the following:
Your subscribers will receive automated emails from your Channel through an email address branded by your domain
Your subscribers can send support requests to your branded email address
Your subscribers will receive emailed responses to support requests from the Odeum Support Team through your branded email address
Example of a branded email received by a subscriber:
For this to work, you will need to create and set up a "sender email address" as an alias or forwarding address on your domain that forwards incoming emails to [email protected].
NOTE: If you choose not to configure your channel's sender email address, email will be sent from the subscriber support email address at Odeum ([email protected]).
Things to Avoid
Here are some important things not to do when choosing and setting up your "sender email address".
Do no choose an email address that is already in use - Do not use an email address on your domain that is the email address for someone on your team or that is used for any other purpose.
Do not set up the email address to forward to more than just Odeum - Do not configure the sender email address to forward to more than just the Odeum support email address.
The "sender email address" should be exclusively set up to forward to just the Odeum support email address.
STEP 1: Decide on a Sender Email Address
Decide on a "sender email address" on your own domain. Choose an email address that will make sense in the context of your channel.
NOTE: One option would be [email protected].
STEP 2: Setup and Configure Sender Email Address to Forward
On the service that hosts email for your domain, you need to create and configure your chosen "sender email address" as an "alias" or "forwarding address" that will forward all email automatically to us at [email protected]. Email hosting services set up aliases or forwarding addresses in different ways but you can find support for common ones here:

Want to improve the deliverability of email coming from your Odeum channel even further?
Once your Sender email is active and sending, you now have the option of adding DKIM and a Custom Return Path. These additions are optional, but we do strongly recommend you implement them.
Please refer to the Email Configuration page of your Dashboard for instructions on how to set this up.
These help articles will give you more information on why this is important and how to properly set-up DKIM Authentication and a Custom Return Path.
